Emery confirms Archer and Philogene set to depart Aston Villa

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos.
The Brazilian, 19, has moved to the City Ground on loan until the end of the season, having undergone medical checks this morning.
The arrival of Santos follows quickly on the heels of the signing of Argentinian world Cup winner Gonzalo Montiel, who has joined on loan from Sevilla, with the option of a permanent move.
Forest face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, as head coach Steve Cooper looks to establish his side in the Premier League, in their second season in the top flight.
Santos is highly regarded at Chelsea, who signed him from Vasco da Gama in January. He helped Vasco to win promotion to the Brazilian top division in 2022, when he scored eight goals in 33 appearances.
The teenager also secured his first international cap in March, when he made his debut for Brazil against Morocco.
Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed by Santos in pre-season but is also aware that his first-team opportunities might be limited, following Chelsea’s busy summer of recruitment.
“I am very happy and excited to be here,” said Santos. I know Forest is a big club, they play good football and they have good players, which is important for me. It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League.”
Forest’s chief football officer, Ross Wilson, says the club are happy to have fended off competition for the player. “Everyone knows how talented Andrey is,” he said.
